Last month, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting an Asheville Folk Autumn Gathering. There was an abundance of hearty dishes, spiked cider, campfire, and live music by Sean Bendula. Every corner filled with kind and talented friends laughing over plates of pulled pork and squash. Connections were made, stories were told, and the cheese plates were circled many times. After dinner, Sean Sawyer surprised everyone with his accordion and we drank aged port from Portugal and threw paint at a giant sheet, arousing the Pollock in us all. I'm grateful for everyone who came together to make this dinner a perfect little mess of food and community. How lucky I am to have all of you.
